Treat Yourself

I'm not sure about you but when the holiday season comes around so does a bunch of stress. So when you're in need of bit or relaxation here are a few things you can use/ do.

Reading is a great way to relieve stress. Sometimes I can get so lost in a book I completely forget about my life and all the problems that come with it. I just finished Girl online a while ago and loved it, but really you have millions of books to choose from and if readings not your thing watching tv works too :) While in sephora I stopped by the philosophy section and was instantly drawn to the sparkly metallic looking bubble bath/ shower gel/ shampoo "Snow Angel". Not only is the colour beautiful but the scent is heavenly. Another one of my favourites this winter season is body works things in general, especially the beautiful day superfruit body scrub + wash. It left my skin so soft but I'm not sure I would recommend it for people with extremely sensitive skin. Moving onto the LUSH stuff first is candy mountain it has a really sweet smell and a bit of shimmer on the outside and it turns your water a little pink though I suppose if differs with the amount of water and product you use. Then on the right there is a luxury LUSH pud it is my favourite scent from LUSH and it turns you water a lovely Bright pink colour with spots of the bright dots. Comment below what your favourite ways are to relax.

    1. Definately give it a try or at least stop by sephora to smell it. For me it is worth the price and it leaves my skin so soft :)

It's been a while

I was looking through my computer and stumbled upon this blog that was active long ago. Looking through some of my old posts I realized how much I have changed over the years. Since my last post, I have successfully completed two years of university, made some great friends (even a boyfriend), and have learned a lot (not just about NMRs and antibiotic resistance). So here are 3 things I have learned in the past couple years:

1. Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is the only way you'll grow. Through most of high school, I was very shy and only had a couple of good friends. I struggled with talking to new people and was always worried about what they thought of me. When I started university though I used it as a way of starting fresh and becoming a better version of myself. I'm not saying it's easy but it is definitely worth it.

2. Its okay to fail sometimes. First year actually wasn't too bad for me but when second year came around I spread myself too thin and di…

Lasting Finish matte lipsticks by Kate Moss

I am absolutely in love with this lipstick. Let's start off with the fact that its super long lasting. I can actually still see it on my wrist from when I did swatches.  Like many other matte lip products it can be a bit drying, especially the dark red, but its nothing a little lip balm can't fix. Also, it is so pigmented, there is no need for more than 2 coats. It comes in loads of different shades and do not even get me started on how good these smell.
The dark red one is shade 107. Sadly they don't have names, only numbers. It is quite hard to wear since it's a bit out of my comfort zone but I still absolutely love it and if you're in the market for a new red I highly suggest this one.       The next one is a coral in shade 32 and I think it would be amazing for summer. A little tip, if you want to go for a more natural look put some lip balm under it, then apply a little bit of the lipstick and then finish it off with another layer of lip balm. P…

Nails inc. London
Feathers- Brighton

For the past while when visiting sephora and shoppers I have seen this nail polish and have been attracted to it. Let start off withe the packaging. It is so cute! On the lid there is a bird in the colours of the nail polish and white feathers in the background. Speaking of feathers how creative is that. That's what I love about nails inc they have a bunch of creative nail polishes like sprinkles and leather effects.  There were a few flaws with the nail polish but if done right they could be so nice. One thing about them is that they are really messy. Since these are just really long peices of glitter made to look like feathers they stick out at the edges a bit. It's an easy fix but it takes a bit of patience. Also I recommend that you do a base colour instead of just layering it up on your nails because like any other glitter polish some places will be more sparse than others. In the picture above I layered it on top of Essie mint candy a…
